Robert is an award winning television producer and journalist and, more recently, playwright. As drama critic for The Times in Scotland, he founded the Critics Awards for Theatre in Scotland, now in their 12th year. As head of Customer Engagement at STV (Scottish Television), in a joint venture with Debating Matters, he recently organised a special competition around the Referendum on Scottish independence. Schools from all 32 local authorities in Scotland debated topics relating exclusively to the Referendum, including the Referendum question itself.
