After an education at the universities of Oxford and Warwick, Phil has worked at the ESRC for over 25 years during which time he has had responsibility for a range of activities including research funding, postgraduate training, HR, communications and corporate strategy. Outside of work, he is married with two children and the two activities that take up most of his spare time are cooking and football.
