Paul is a civil servant who has lived in Leeds for over 30 years. He has a degree in social sciences, an MA in British history, is a qualified FE teacher, and co-founder of The Leeds Salon public discussion forum. He has been a Debating Matters judge since 2008 and, as a supporter of the competition, helps chair and run competition events in the north of England. Paul also runs numerous school debating competitions in West Yorkshire, including for the Headingley Festival of Ideas, The Tetley and Jordans Solicitors using DM’s format.
