Louise’s experience within the arts spans education, theatre performance, workshop facilitation, project and event management and evaluation. A graduate of the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, Louise trained as a specialist performing arts practitioner gaining QTS at Masters level, having previously graduated from Bath Spa University with a BA first class honours degree in music and theatre studies. Louise was also awarded a scholarship to study performance at the Academy of Musical Theatre Wales. Her extensive experience of working in education includes six years as a teacher and subsequently head of drama at Stanwell Secondary School, Penarth which has an outstanding reputation for the quality of its drama and music output. She has also worked for the Transformation Trust as a project consultant on their Junior University in collaboration with Lancaster University. Louise is an advocate for promoting arts opportunities within Primary and Secondary settings. Currently, she manages the schools programme for WNO’s youth and community department, a role that enables her to produce innovative opportunities for younger audiences to experience the art form of opera. Louise’s event management experience ranges from producing a family day at the National Museum of Wales, managing a conference for Artworks Cymru to working on the Futures Fair exhibition and schools Rock Assembly event at Wembley Arena.
