NICE Implementation Facilitator – Northern Ireland
National Institute for Health and Care Excellence
Lesley is a member of the NICE Implementation Field Team, taking up post in October 2012. Her role is to be the local face of NICE and in so doing encourage, facilitate and promote the uptake of NICE guidance, advice and standards by all health and social care organisations and professionals in Northern Ireland. She is a pharmacist by profession, graduating from Queen’s University Belfast and still practices as a community pharmacist today. She has previously worked for the Health and Social Care Board where her role had been to develop the Northern Ireland Medicines Formulary and as well as heading up a team which provided all the prescribing information requirements for GPs in primary care. Apart from her pharmacy qualifications, she is a diplomate member of the Faculty of Public Health and in 2012 she obtained a Master in Public Administration qualification from the University of Ulster.
