People’s History Museum, Manchester
Kirsty has worked in museums for 19 years. She joined the People’s History Museum (PHM) as Learning Manager in 2004 and worked on the museum redevelopment team between 2008 and 2010. Kirsty’s team delivers sessions and projects to 23,000 contacts per year on the theme of ‘Ideas worth fighting for’. Prior to PHM Kirsty was Curator at Saddleworth Museum, and Keeper of Fine and Decorative Art at Tullie House Museum and Art Gallery in Carlisle. Kirsty has an MA (Honours) degree in History and History of Art from Edinburgh University, and a postgraduate diploma in Museum Studies from Manchester University. She is married with two children.
