    DPhil Candidate in Clinical Laboratory Sciences

    University of Oxford

    Gunes recently graduated from the University of Nottingham with an MSC in Human Genetics and went on to work as a lab assistant at the Weatherall Institute of Molecular Medicine, University of Oxford. She has experience in science communication, having worked at the Science Council, the online project ‘I’m a scientist, get me out of here’ and having herself competed in the science communication competition – Famelab.  She competed in Debating Matters whilst at sixth form and worked with the DM as an alumnus for many years. She is currently working towards a DPhil at Oxford.
