Graeme worked for many years as an informal and community educator in some of Britain’s most deprived neighbourhoods. Since 2000 he has been a freelance researcher, trainer, lecturer and education consultant with special interests in detached and street-based youth work, youth social policy, community development and democratic education, activities that taking him regularly to other countries along with his work as UK representative to Dynamo International – the worldwide network of street social workers. He is a pioneer of community philosophy: enquiry-based methodology used to inform social action and a practice influenced by his on-going PhD research into the value of uncertainty in education.
