    George debated with Godalming College, where he was the Student Union President, in both the 2014/5 and 2015/6 Debating Matters competitions; he reached the penultimate debate of the South East England Final, inches away from the National Final, twice. He set up and ran the only Secular Society in schools in Britain. He has a keen interest in jazz music and is a saxophonist; he played in the Surrey County Youth Jazz Orchestra for three years. With a big band from Oxford, he played at the White Knight’s Ball in the Grosvenor House Hotel in London. He is a passionate philosopher, veteran public speaker (he won awards in five Model United Nations competitions and at English Speaking Union events) and has recently taken up learning to sing. He is currently studying Politics, Philosophy and Economics at Hertford College, Oxford.
