Professor of Pharmaceutical Biosciences & Director of Research
School of Pharmacy, Queen's University Beflast
Chris received his primary degree in Biochemistry at Queen’s University Belfast in 1996, before undertaking a PhD in identification of proteases involved in cancer progression. He then moved to industry, helping establish the Queens University spinout company Fusion Antibodies Ltd., before returning to academia in 2003. He is currently the Chair of Pharmaceutical Biosciences in the School of Pharmacy with an adjunct position in the Centre for Cancer Research and Cell Biology. He is also the Director of the Molecular Therapeutics Research Cluster in the university. His work is primarily focused on the development of novel antibody-based therapeutics for the treatment of cancer, inflammatory and infectious diseases.
