• Alice Thomson

    Student & DM Alumnus

    University of Oxford

‘A national finalist in 2012, Alice took a year out of education which she spent working with environmental consultancy Eunomia, travelling, and participating in community and conservation projects in Tanzania with an aspiration to join those working in the field of environmental policy. She is now a first year biologist at Lady Margaret Hall, Oxford and is particularly interested in the fields of genetics and disease. Alice is always happy to argue about scientific and environmental issues, with energy dependency and the issues of sustaining a growing population amongst her favorites. Outside of academic interests she’s a keen netballer, having captained her school teams since starting secondary school and she plays competitively in the Avon League. Alice also enjoys rowing, horse riding and participating in triathlons
