Adrian has been involved with Debating Matters for a number of years, having been part of his college team which reached the competition’s National Final in 2009. He particularly looks for passionate debaters who have done their research and are able to justify their arguments with relevant facts and data. Adrian graduated from Plymouth University, and now teaches Rescue and Emergency Management at the University. He now works for the NHS, and is part of the Ambulance Service’s Special Operations Response Team, dealing with incidents such as chemical releases and terrorism. Outside of Debating Matters, he holds numerous voluntary roles; he is a Scout Leader, an manager for a Search & Rescue team, and a First Aid trainer for the British Red Cross.
