“Rivington and Blackrod High School is a Church of England voluntary controlled 11-18 High School founded in 1566 by the Bishop of Durham. The school has held an important place in this community for centuries, many of our students have parents and grandparents who themselves were educated here. We want every young person to succeed, knowing and feeling that they matter. We provide the very best care, guidance and support to ensure that they feel safe and can grow as successful learners and caring citizens. We give all students the power to take control, manage and direct their own learning and develop their future careers and aspirations. Positive relationships are very important to us at Rivington and Blackrod High School and we do all that we can to foster an environment in which they can grow and flourish.”
